My family and I have loved our move to Idaho to join the kind, hard working, independent-minded people here.

But after watching Idaho’s values being attacked by woke mobs, being censored by liberal tech billionaires and bullied by DC bureaucrats – neighbors, friends and family asked me to consider running.

So, after talking to my wife and prayerful consideration I’ve decided to make a stand.

And in my first session as State Rep. I voted to slash state income taxes, led the fight to pass the first-in-the-nation Medical Freedom Act (which eliminated mask and vax mandates), eliminated taxpayer funded benefits for illegal immigrants and protected female prisoners from having to share restrooms with male prisoners.

State Representative Rob Beiswenger (Horseshoe Bend) declared his candidacy for the Idaho Legislature Friday for House District 8A, and will be on the Republican ballot in the May 19th primary election.

“I never planned on running for elected office. In fact, I moved to Idaho (from Indiana) several years ago simply because I wanted a safe place to raise a family. But after watching the left wing corporate attacks on children’s innocence, parental rights and our freedoms overall, I feel a duty to step up and do my part to protect our freedoms, our state, and our country,” said Beiswenger.

“I firmly believe Idaho should push back strongly against out-of-control left-wing power-grabs, ensure absolute integrity in our State’s election process, protect our 2nd Amendment rights, and reduce the crushing burden of taxation on our families and businesses. The fact is, being a Republican in name is simply not good enough. We need true

conservative leaders who will stand up and fight for our families, our God-given rights, and to protect our elections,” Beiswenger said.

I voted for the largest income tax cuts this year in decades and for property tax relief. I will continue to vote for limiting government spending to give us the ability to cut taxes further for Idaho’s hard working families.

I will continue to support and vote for parental control over children’s education and medical choices.

Protect Idaho’s Water: Our waterways and aquifers must be maintained and protected for us, our children and grand-children.

Rob and his family moved to Idaho from Indiana in 2019. While in Indiana, Beiswenger led the campaign to make the Hoosier State a “Right to Work State” and thereby free employees across Indiana from mandatory membership in workplace unions. In part because of Beiswenger’s efforts, Indiana ultimately passed state-level Right to Work legislation in 2012.

In 2009, Beiswenger and his wife Crystal founded Collaborative Behavior Solutions, a business that provides in-home therapy for children with autism. This business still runs in Indianapolis, Indiana today.

Rob now works for Idaho-based Money Metals Exchange, the precious metals dealer named “Best Overall” in the U.S. by Investopedia, a world investment authority. Money Metals helps Americans protect themselves against inflation and financial turmoil by diversifying a portion of their savings into physical gold and silver.
